Reason #54928748 Why I Love My Son

I was supposed to take E to daycare this morning so that I could get some last minute things done. When we got there, the place was dark but there were cars. We walk in and there are literally 2 kids there. And none from his class. I start to leave and he cries for me. I caved. What can I say? I'm a softee.

So off we went to run all over town.

Our first stop was the grocery store. He was being so good, talking, laughing. We get to the dairy aisle and I see a man walking towards me. He has white hair, white beard, and is wearing a red shirt. I knew what was coming.

E spots him and screams "SANTA!!" I swear the entire store heard him. People were laughing and saying "How cute." "Santa" looks at E and waves.

I think it made his day!

i heart faces ~ Holiday Traditions

This week, i heart faces is taking a break from their weekly challenges. Instead, we are all sharing our family holiday traditions through pictures. I held off on posting pictures from my family's cookie day just for this!

Every year, my family gets together to make Italian Christmas Cookies. Not sure if this is the technical name but it's what we call them. Everyone comes. My sister and her kids, my cousins, everyone! We spend all day rolling the cookies and then decorating. And of course, sampling our goods!

First, we squish it with our hands!

Then, when we eat too much of the raw dough, we roll it!

Then we get them ready to go into the oven.

Once they are cooled, we decorate them.

And then we eat them! (And make quite a mess.)

My Little Man.

E got a haircut last night. Each time we go, I tell them to cut it shorter and shorter. The hairdresser we had this time was really good! So good in fact, E almost fell asleep in my lap. He was zoned out. He even let her use the edgers on him. Man, does that make a difference!

I could not get over how much older he looks now with his hair short. I swear he looks 5! I could not resist this face this morning.

After I took this picture, I had a Grinch moment. My heart grew three sizes larger. I was laughing at this incredibly, funny face and said "Oh, E, I love you!" He looked up and said "Lub you." ::melts::
